My new obsession of League of Legends led me to make a couple Themes for Google Chrome browser.
I couldn't find any ones that I liked online, so I created a few of my own.
They can be downloaded and applied through the following links.
Akali:
Akali Theme
Irelia:
Irelia Theme
Katarina:
Katarina Theme
Please view details about screen resolution. If you have a different resolution, the theme may not apply as perfectly as it did in the screen shot. Otherwise, hope you guys like it.
I will probably make a couple more this weekend.
And Happy Thanks Giving everyone!

What a waste of my time...
So I started my job three weeks ago as a software engineer. Naturally, you'd think I need a working computer to do my work right? That's what I thought too. So it's been three weeks and I still don't have a properly set up computer yet. I've been pair programming with this other guy who started a month before me.
Pair programming's all good but no one wants to do it all the time with a stubborn guy who doesn't want to ask for help or look it up on the internet.
As a programming, the most basic thing you should learn is how to Google it!
If you don't know, GOOGLE IT!
But this guy won't. What's the point of making it work if you don't understand what the method takes as parameter and the values it return? Just Google and do some research before trying random things. It's common sense. Don't you want to learn why it works rather than just making it work... What if you run into the same problem again next time? Shot gun ftw!!!
So it's been getting frustrating to work with him. At first it was easy to tolerate because I had no idea what I was doing and was glad to have someone show me the ropes. But actually, he has no idea what he's doing either. Whenever I ask him a question, the most likely answer is "i dont know".
I think it'll make me feel better if he said "I'm not sure, but we can look it up" than a flat out "i dont know"
So today my aunt called me and wanted to see how I'm doing at my work. And its not going so well. I'm sick of working with stubborn unproductive people. I don't understand why it is ok for people to be unproductive at work? I don't get it. You're getting paid, aren't you here at work because you want to contribute and get something done??! I am stunning to see people walk into other's office and chat for an hour about traffic, about getting drunk on the plane, about everything unrelated to what we're currently working on.
I'm too uptight. I know, but I feel like I'm wasting my time. If it wasn't because I get paid and I need money, I would rather do something else that I actually enjoy.

Starting work tomorrow...
First day of work tomorrow, kind of nervous, kind of anxious, kind of glad. Mix of all kinds of feeling I guess. Hope everything turns out good. I really hope I get a window seat so it'll be nice and bright. Less depressing since I'll probably be staring at the computer screen all day. But it's just good to have some natural lighting.
Ok, hopefully everything goes well tomorrow :)

LoL, not lol...
Playing League of Legends (LoL) in LA today because I have nothing else better to do, well I probably could have been doing something else more productive but anyhow...
This KindysJD person playing Jax kept on bitching about this teammates suck when all he did was jungle in the freaking forest. And whenever there is a group fight, he's killing some creep in the forest while watching all his teammates die. I hate people like that. If they were so pro, why complain about other people sucking? Just be so pro and solo it...
And LoL got hacked today. Random messages keep poping up. Computer security man, LoL programmers are failing at that today.
Happy 4th of July :)

Sunny San Diego weather is back after a week of gloominess...
my apartment hunting days has finally come to an end (for now).
Last week of endless searching, I've seen messy houses, crowded houses, houses that feels like a hostle, houses that have crazy bushy front yards, houses in gated communities you can't find, etc.
After endless hours of searching, I've found a perfect house to move into.
Now it's my turn to pack up everything and leave the UCSD environment.
Next week will be my last week of my student job at UCSD EDS and I need to finish everything still left to do.
Challenge for next week:
Today's rant: My roommate was moving out and dust was flying all over our room. I keep sneezing nonstop for 2 hours and finally got fed up with it and moved to the living room. And seeing that our kitchen trashcan was overflowing because everyone in my apartment is too lazy to clean up after themselves, I took out the trash. But I guess it was my fault for not putting a trashbag in the trashcan after I took it out... at least I take out the trash. Few hours later, there was trash in the trash can and no one even bothered to put a bag in before throwing their stuff in the trashcan. ISN'T THAT COMMON SENSE? So I asked my roommate later nicely. "Hey did you throw trash in the kitchen trashcan? There wasn't a bag in there." She says she did, and she was in a hurry and asked, "Are there more trashbags under the sink? And there was already trash in it before I threw my stuff in there"... Well yeah, if you weren't so lazy you could have looked. And just because there was trash in there, you should have common sense to not throw more trash. Just because you're moving out, doesn't mean you should trash the place when other people are still living there. She has no common sense, no courtesy. An example of being useless and EPIC FAIL PARENTING!

Challenge for next week:
- Completely clean out the office.
- Finish coding the rest of the interviews in NVivo.
